What is a contactless card?
Contactless cards are enabled to handle close-range “tap” transactions. The contactless symbol on your card or the payment terminal means that these devices are enabled to make or receive contactless payments.
Your Chaffey FCU cards will still have a chip and magnetic stripe, ensuring it’s compatible with all payment terminals.
When you make a purchase using a contactless terminal, the card will make a one time code for the terminal to process the payment, ensuring maximum security and peace of mind.
What is a digital wallet?
A digital wallet is a secure way to carry your debit and credit card on your mobile smart device, allowing you to make purchases with your phone after your card has been connected.
Contactless Symbol for Digital Wallet
The Contactless Symbol on a payment terminal also means you can used your digital wallet for purchases.
Your digital wallet is as secure as using your contactless card. Even with a mobile device, each purchase requires an authentication (PIN, password, or fingerprint) before you purchase.
